How the Program Works in Texas
You pay for the device unless the court finds you cannot; when ordered as a community supervision condition it must stay installed for at least half the supervision period. An occupational license after a DWI conviction carries an interlock unless the court waives it. Driving an employer-owned vehicle for work is exempt if the employer is notified and you do not own or control the business.
